On October 28, 2022, Sauk Rapids-Rice juniors and sophomores will have the opportunity to attend EPIC (Exploring Potential Interest and Careers).  This event is a collaboration between St. Cloud area colleges, community organizations, community leaders, and businesses to create a career exploration event for high school students. The event will be held at St. Cloud Technical and Community College from 9:00 - 11:00 a.m. Transportation is provided by Sauk Rapids-Rice High School and the event is free.

The event will engage students in interactive learning experiences that allow the student to “try-on” a career. Industry/business and higher education academic partners will be collaborating to create the student experience within their career field.

To prepare our students for this amazing event, in their Connections Advisory, they completed a self-assessment Career Cluster inventory to identify their interests.  From their interest results, they learned about the career clusters they should explore based on their assessment answers.

Permission forms were given to the students on Wednesday, October 12 for parents/guardians to sign. The permission form can be viewed here and was due back on October 18. We would like all sophomores and juniors to participate in this event as part of their post-secondary planning.  Industry/business and higher education academic partners will be collaborating to create the student experience within their career field.

To learn more about this opportunity for your student, check out the EPIC Video. If you have any questions, please contact your student’s high school counselor or the main office.

Please note: On October 28, freshmen will report to school at 8:25 as usual. Seniors will report to school at 11:20 a.m. for periods 3 - 5.
