Board of Education Open Seat Filled

Sauk Rapids-Rice Public Schools sought applications for the School Board position that became open when long-time board member Jan Solarz retired on October 10, 2023.  There were numerous applicants for the position, and after screening, the field was narrowed down to four (4) candidates chosen for interviews. The candidates were interviewed forum-style on Wednesday, October 25, 2023. 

The Board of Education is pleased to announce that Samantha Dwyer has been selected to complete the term held by Solarz.  By statute, Samantha Dwyer cannot become a seated board member until 30 days after the decision is made, which will be the board work session on Monday, November 27, 2023.
